ABC Podcasts
In ABC this quarter students will be subscribing to a podcast from a collection of diverse subjects in order to pursue personal academic interests while learning about what a podcast is and how they work. To begin the quarter, students will first have an opportunity to investigate the podcasts available to them. Peruse the list below and follow the links to check out some different podcasts for yourself!
CNN Student News – a 10 minute video podcast giving a run down of the current events in the news nationally and globally.
How Stuff Works – Coolest Stuff on the Planet – a 5-7 minute video podcast bringing viewers to some of the most incredible locations on Earth and provides a brief history of their existence and what makes them so unique! This episode will take you around Yosemite National Park.
Grammar Girl Quick and Dirty Tips to Better Writing – Want to sharpen your writing skills and impress your parents, teachers, and friends? Maybe you aspire to be a famous novelist! Either way, improving your grammar is a good step in the right direction. This audio podcast is just 5 to 7 minutes long. The episode linked above has to do with how to use italics.
NOVA Vodcast – Video podcasts 10 to 15 minutes in length brings you short video stories from the world of science, including excerpts from our television programs
